Because of increased numbers of Covid-related illnesses in our area, The West Nebraska Arts Center Board has decided as a way to help keep the community safe to cancel their Boos & Brews Fundraiser. They regret having to take this action, but feel it is in everyone's best interest to take extra health precautions. Donations in lieu of attendance at the Boos & Brews Fundraiser are encouraged; the funds help with building repair projects, monthly maintenance, programming multi-generational classes and workshops, instructor fees, special events and gallery exhibits. For those who donate, they will make a witch hat with your name on it in honor of Boos & Brews and hang it in the gallery.
The Bridgeport Ministerial Association has again partnered with the USDA and CashWa for the Farmers to Families Food program this winter for residents of Morrill County. The food pick-up site will be the south end of the parking lot of the Prairie Winds Community Center every Tuesday around noon, beginning Oct. 27 and running through January, 2021. The truck will park in the south portion of the PWCC lot; patrons should line up on N Street with vehicles facing south. Please remain in your vehicle and follow the one in front of you. The Ministerial Association pastors and volunteers will load your vehicle with a 15# box of produce and one gallon of milk.
