Bridgeport FFA

Bridgeport FFA held their annual Petting Zoo on Thursday, April 28, on the open fields near the ball diamonds. Dozens of animals were trucked into town from the country to give people an idea of life on the farm. Open to the public as well, people viewed and petted the cows and horses, goats, sheep, dogs, pigs, cats, and even a pet racoon. Day care and preschool children were brought from their facilities to join in on the fun. A roping bale was set up to give kids an opportunity to rope a calf, as seen here by Phillip Childers, determined to lasso the sedentary calf while FFA member Coy Fleming and Phillip’s classmates look on.
