Bridgeport Memorial Chapel is partnering with Camp Rock for the “2021 S’More & More Drive” to collect supplies for their summer camps. Donations may be dropped off at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel (718 Main Street) on Wednesdays, Apr. 28, May 5, and May 12, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Bridgeport Memorial Chapel staff will deliver the items to Camp Rock before their first camp of the season.
It was a day and a half of “all-on” basketball in the 11th Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament this past weekend at Bridgeport Public Schools. Over a hundred Bridgeport High School Alumni and their spouses and families participated in the annual event, along with a few honorary players to fill in the gaps. Thirteen games were played over the course of twelve hours on Saturday and the final four showdown took place on Sunday morning.
KEARNEY—Trey Janicek of Bridgeport and Emma Thede of St. Paul are the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Greek Man and Woman of the Year for 2020-21.
Torrington, Wy.—The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Golf team kicked off the spring season March 25-26 at the Otero Junior College Tournament. The Lancers won the tournament with a score of 577. McCook Community College was second with 614.
