$25,000 LED lighting project completed at baseball complex
The baseball complex has received a makeover in the past couple years, and the newest improvement is the addition of 24 LED lights.
“These are the latest in outdoor lighting as far as outdoor facilities are concerned,” said Jim Vassos, Chairman of the Bridgeport Parks Board. “They are about five times brighter than an incandescent light bulb for the same amount of wattage. There are eight poles and there are going to be three lights to a pole. Each one of the lights is 400 watts and will take the place of about four of the incandescent lights.”
The lighting project follows the improvements made last year with the new concession area, two new bathrooms, the new equipment storage shed, new grass infield, and wireless scoreboard.
