Aging Office offers a variety of programs to help seniors in Morrill County

The Aging Office of Western Nebraska provides programs aimed at helping seniors in the panhandle. The variety of programs are designed to keep seniors healthy and in their homes.

Programs available in Morrill County include the congregate nutrition site, the care management program,medicaid waiver program, handyman, handibus, family caregiver support and the Adult and Disability Resource Center.

There are congregate nutrition sites across the panhandle, but one is at PWCC every weekday. It is also paired with the home delivery meal program.

Michelle Daily runs the nutrition site at PWCC and said there are normally 15-16 senior who come for a meal.

She said that the purpose of the meals is to insure that the seniors are eating nutritiously.
