Boy Scout organizes soup kitchen to earn Eagle Scout Award
Bridgeport eighth grader Jake Paschke, 14, of Boy Scout troop #17 in Gering, has reached the rank of Eagle Scout, a Boy Scout's highest award, in this his troops 10oth Eagle Scout award given.
Paschke has been involved in Troop #17 for the past 4 years, earning merit badges in sports, archery, athletics, first aid, citizenship, cooking, emergency preparedness, personal fitness, cooking and camping. He also secured the 100-degree Frost Award, which is earned by adding up the campouts attended that fall below 32 degrees Fahrenheit at night, as well as holding office jobs including Patrol Leader, Troop Guide and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.
