County approved for two grants over $19,000
Charlie Browne came before the board Monday to inform commissioners that the county has been approved for a $19,558 grant from the Nebraska Crime Commission that will supplement money spent for diversion and truancy. The county has received the grant before, but not last year. The money will be put in the general fund when it is received.
The board also accepted a $19,274 grant awarded by the Aging Office of Western Nebraska. Nancy Eichthaler, handyman/public transit director, also reported that she will be applying for additional funding in October or November.
