Leyton basketballers off to a good star t this season

With their wins over the Hemingford Bobcats last week, 62-22, and the Potter-Dix Coyotes 64-27, Leyton girls basketball team remains undefeated this season.The Lady Warriors are ranked first in D2 District 11 play.They have hosted three matches on home court and taken three games on the road as visitors and hope to go into Christmas break 7-0 after their game this week.

Opal earns fourth at state

For the second year in a row, Bridgeport’s play production team took their one act all the way to the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk, Nebraska, for the state competition. Class C productions were Thursday last week and Bridgeport earned a fourth place finish, an improvement over a sixth place spot last year.

Bridgeport was one of two districts selected for the Nebraska ARTS Award

The Bridgeport Board of Education held their regular meeting on Monday, December 11th, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library. All board members were present with the exception of Jeff Pohl.The board approved, by a vote of 5-0, the consent agenda which included the approval of minutes, financial reports, bills and payroll. Consideration to approve the collective bargaining agreement with the BEA for the 2024-2025 school year was tabled.
