Where all the trails converge

Where all the trails converge, and opening for the season this Friday, May 28, is the Pioneer Trails Museum, located on US Hwy 26 just south of the overpass and north of the downtown Bridgeport area. Jared Whiting of Whiting Signs & Graphics in Scottsbluff created the new signage, complete with a photograph of Courthouse and Jail Rocks. One of the signs covers the width of the north side of the building, while the other one, pictured here, is on posts on the south lawn near the caboose. Director Billie Mitchell and hosts Jim and Coffey Smith are ready to welcome visitors and locals alike from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1:00–6:00 p.m. on Sundays. The museum is packed with artifacts and old photographs of Bridgeport and Morrill County items, stories from the old timers and pioneer relics. Take a moment to slow down and step back in time at the museum. SARAH STRAWN
