Bridgeport council meeting erupts in argument over paving district

The Bridgeport City Council met in regular session at the Prairie Winds Community Center on May 13 with Councilman Floyd absent. Public correspondences were read, and visitors were recognized. Claims were paid and the minutes of the last meeting were approved with the treasurer’s report. Gary Oltmann addressed the council, seeking answers to when potholes in the gravel roads would be fixed, when the empty trailer will be removed from the trailer park, and when the city can expect dust mitigation applied to the gravel roads. Mayor Charlie Browne said he would call Tim Alfred to get the trailer moved and addressed the other questions to Public Works Director Larry Heinrich, who stated that the dust control will be applied in the coming weeks, weather dependent.
