The Bridgeport FFA greenhouse is open for business with the sale of their $10.00 Christmas poinsettias. The students have been working since early this year culti vating the soil, watering the traditional red holiday fare, and pruning the hundreds of plants in the greenhouse.

After winning first and second places on Monday and Tuesday respectively last week in the Western Trails Conference and Southern Platte Valley Association contest, Bridgeport One Acts team competed in the District C1-6 competition on Tuesday, December 1, with their performance of Mandy Conner’s “Ago” script. On home stage in the Bulldog’s auditorium, Bayard, Hershey, West Holt, Ainsworth, Chase County, Ord, and Gordon- Rushville took to the theater to compete against Bridgeport.
Girl Scouts Delaney Pohl and Eden Strawn, 9th graders at Bridgeport High School, spent eight hours of their Thanksgiving break budgeting and planning for the purchase of dozens of items for Christmas gift bags for Bridgeport’s older kids in need. On Saturday, the girls went shopping in town to purchase toiletry items such as toothpaste, lotions, bar soap, body washes, lip balm, razors and cream, hand sanitizer, and feminine hygiene products.
