Newly elected Morrill County Clerk of the District Court Susan Kelly has lived here for the past 25 years. She has experience working at the Morrill County Community Hospital, the nursing home at Bridgeport, the Bridgeport News-Blade and most recently, as a personal banker at Platte Valley Bank in Bridgeport.

LINCOLN—On Monday morning, Governor Pete Ricketts announced new Directed Health Measures (DHMs) that will take effect statewide on Wednesday, November 11th. The measures are being implemented in response to rising hospitalizations across the state in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Saturday, October 31, proved to be a beautiful day for trick-or-treaters and kids young and old who dressed in costumes for the Halloween celebrations around Bridgeport. With twenty BOOths set up in the East City Park for the 5th annual trick or treat safety event, City Park After Dark, dozens of children made their way to the area to enjoy daylight candy hunting, and relatively warm weather.
