Lussetto receives Nebraska Hospital Association The Caring Kind Award

Specialty Clinic Director Candy Lussetto, RN, recently received The Caring Kind award at Morrill County Community Hospital. Lussetto is an excellent nursing leader who approaches a problem with optimism, curiosity and a “can do” attitude. There is never a challenge that she is not ready to take on. She goes above and beyond to find the right solution by engaging the right people in the process and always pursuing what is right for the patient, family and co-workers. Bridgeport comes together to house bus load of stranded university students

What was supposed to be an organized potluck and overnight homestay turned into a two-night, three-day endeavor for those involved with the Doane University Choir tour.The university students were to be housed with several area families after their concert in Bridgeport Tuesday night, January 17, and returned to the school by 7:30 Wednesday morning. However, the wild winter weather rendered that plan useless.

The Bridgeport girls and boys basketball teams wrapped up another busy week with a sweep of Morrill County rival Bayard on Saturday at Bridgeport High School. Bridgeport, which has dominated the Tigers on the hardwood in recent years, picked up double-digit wins in both contests. Thanks to a 28-0 run to open the game, the undefeated Lady Bulldogs cruised to a 77-16 win.
