Morrill Early Bird brings out the best in Leyton and Bridgeport

The Bridgeport and Leyton track and field teams opened the season at the Morrill Early Bird Invitational on Saturday in Morrill. A pair of Bulldogs brought home top finishes from the 13-school meet, while a trio of Warriors and a Lady Warrior did the same. In the mens varsity, Mitchell took first place with 95 points while womens varsity saw Crawford on top with 84 points. Leyton Warriors placed second overall in the runner up spot with 77 points and Bridgeport Bulldogs placed 5th with 52 points. The Lady Warriors placed seventh overall with 44 points while the Lady Bulldogs pulled into a tie for ninth place with 29 points.
