Bridgeport hosts multiple conferences in one day

Sixteen schools brought wrestlers to Bridgeport on Thursday to grapple on the mats for the SPVA, MAC, WTC, and PAC conferences. Overall, Sutherland cleaned house with 203.5 points on the day, while Bridgeport boys placed tenth overall with 43 points, and Leyton came in twelfth with 28 points. The Bridgeport team stands at five boys while Leyton had three wrestling at the event.

The Gift of Love Tree has become a popular and well-supported project of the Morrill County Hospital Foundation. The employees of Morrill County Community Hospital have been stuffing over 2500 envelopes with letters to be mailed out to every address in Morrill County asking for a small donation and enclosing a card.

The TeamMates Mentoring of Bridgeport program celebrated National Mentoring Month by honoring its mentors during the halftime portion of the boys basketball game Friday night with a special guest, DeMoine Adams. Adams is a motivational speaker who was a three-year starting Blackshirt defensive end for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
