Chadron State College senior Kael Juelfs (92), who has a Bridgeport heritage, had a lineman’s dream come true during the Eagles’ final home game on November 6. He recovered a Western Oregon fumble in the end zone for a touchdown, barely beating the opponent to the ball. Kael’s father, Joe, and grandfather, Bill, both Bridgeport High graduates and star football players there, also played football for the Eagles. Joe was inducted into the Chadron State College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010; Kael graduated from high school at Kingman, Ariz. JUSTIN HAAG
