Bridgeport Girl Scouts

Bridgeport Girl Scouts decorated colorful snowflake boxes at scouts last week to use as receptacles for collecting winter gear for donation to the Food Panty for their recipient families throughout the colder months. Items needed are all sizes of new or gently hats and gloves, scarves, thick socks, and winter boots. Boxes are located at Sonny’s Super Foods, The Bridgeport Public Library, and the Community Center. Items will be collected for the next two weeks and will culminate with a Polar Plunge at the State Lakes at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon during the cold-water swimming event.
