Maverick was born on September 22, 1997, to Bobby Miller and Veronica Garcia in Garden City, Kansas.
He was welcomed home by big brother Zac. Sometime later, sister Zoey and brother Zaiden joined Zac as Maverick’s siblings.
Maverick was the bright light in a dark room. He loved life and lived every day with his zest for life. In his words, “The problem today is the world lacks connectivity. It lacks empathy. I do my best to challenge this by focusing on the people and relationships around me.”
Maverick was a part of many activities and groups in his hometown of Ulysses, KS, including the Church of Christ, choir, musicals, cross country, National Honor Society, etc. His love of helping children started when he worked at the after-school program while in high school.
It didn’t matter if it was raining, snowing, or sleeting, Maverick loved riding his scooter around town.
Maverick met the love of his life at age 14. Megan and Maverick met at a NewYear’s Eve party in 2011 and began their lives together from that moment on, even dating from different states throughout high school. He attended college, graduating from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with an Art Degree.
His love of art was apparent in most everything he did.
Every room in his house is signature Mav.
Maverick and Megan were united in marriage on June 8, 2019.They were blessed with two children, Milo Dale and Molly Jane. Maverick was an amazing husband and daddy.
His world was wrapped up in his family. Many times, he would be seen walking around town with one or both kids in the green jeep wagon wearing his green croc boots. He loved unconditionally and with his whole heart.
Maverick was always the favorite Uncle at all family gatherings. His nieces and nephews couldn’t wait to play Legos, go swimming, play Fortnite and switch games.
At any given time, Maverick could be found with the kids at family gatherings.
Maverick was employed by the Bridgeport Public Schools at the time of his death. He was a magnetic force for his kids at school. Every child he worked with and came into contact with loved him.
Everything Maverick did was whatever he felt was best for the kids he worked with. Mr.
Maverick brought energy and joy to his school kids, and he will forever be remembered by his students.
When Maverick had free time, he could be found playing Fortnite, much of the time with his brothers Zac and Zaiden. He loved anime and watching various shows and movies with Megan, as well as playing video games, board games, and card games.
Maverick also had a love of music. He had a beautifully distinguished voice and could be heard singing almost anywhere.
