Patrick Max West, 76

Patrick Max West, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 76, after a long, painful battle with rheumatoid arthritis.

Cremation has taken place.

Pat was born on February 15, 1949, to George West and Viola (Rozmarin) West. He attended Sunflower Grade School and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1967. He married Wanda Patrick on June 14, 1970, and they were married for 55 years. Pat was in construction for most of his adult life, starting a construction company with his

brother, Mike.

In 1971, he moved to Apple Valley, California, and worked at GE building modular housing. The West’s son, Gregory, was born there on July 28, 1971. After a serious accident, the Wests moved back to Nebraska, where he eventually recovered from his injuries. In 1996, Pat decided to quit building and went to work for the lumber yard in Bridgeport, eventually opening his own lumber yard, Riverside Lumber, in 2001, which he operated until he retired due to health issues.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Michael West and Milton West, and his brother-in-law Bud Boston.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda; sister Connie Boston; son Gregory (Jamie Brown) West; grandchildren Isaias and his wife Kelsey Mancias (great-grandson Sebastian Mancias), Arista Mancias, Ashton Mancias; and numerous nieces and nephews.
