Kristie Jo was born on December 27, 1983, in Scottsbluff, NE, to Glen and Patricia (Troidl) Keenan . She attended Leyton High School in Dalton, NE, where she received her diploma in 2002.

Kristie was employed at Sloan’s Estate as a CNA, and later received her phlebotomy license working at RegionalWest in Scottsbluff. She then moved to Rapid City, SD, where she worked at Monument Health until her health declined.

For more than 20 years, Kristie dedicated her life to the healthcare profession, caring for others with compassion, skill, and a genuine heart for service. Helping people was not just her career—it was who she was. Even while facing her own illness, she remained strong, selfless, and deeply concerned for those around her. Above all else, Kristie was a devoted wife and a loving mother. Her husband and five children were the center of her world, and her love for them was unwavering.

She enjoyed bingo and keno—having the knack to come out ahead—as well as NASCAR, INEX Racing, fishing, photography, cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, and loved watching hockey.
