Gloria graduated from Paseo High School in 1948, where she was a talented athlete. Her love of sports stayed with her throughout her life, and she especially enjoyed watching both local and professional teams. She especially enjoyed going to see the KC

Royals and the Chiefs with her sister, LaVona, when she was younger. After she moved to Bayard, she either listened to the games on the radio or watched them on tv.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Marvin J. Clark, and they shared many happy years together until his passing in 1984.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Gloria chose to stay home while her children were growing up, dedicating herself fully to her family. She will be remembered for her steady presence, warm heart, and the deep love she had for those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Quentin, Lynus, La-Vona and John.

She is survived by her children, Marva (Steve) Hutchinson and Andrew (Beth) Clark; grandchildren: Mike, Clark, Van, James, Quentin, Mary Beth,Tera, and Laura; and seven great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held on February 4, 2026, at Maple Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery in Kansas City, followed by graveside services.
