Lisa was born to Jerry and Linda (Sherman) Hopwood on August 10, 1972, in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was the youngest of four children.

The family later moved to the western Nebraska panhandle, where she graduated from Leyton High School in Dalton, NE, in 1991.

She earned her CNA license with her sister, Lori, in 1999.That started her career in nursing home care. She did go on to get her Med-Aide and Social Services licenses.

She spent most of her years working at the nursing home in Bridgeport.

Lisa loved working with the residents and caring for them.

In return, they loved her very much. She made a lot of great friends along the way.

Lisa is survived by her father, Jerry Hopwood of Floydada,TX; brother Jerry (Cindy) Hopwood of Floydada, TX; sister Lori Turner of Sidney, NE; special friend Eddie Ellis of Broadwater, NE. Nieces and nephews: Zach Mueller of Lincoln (NE) and daughter Jayden of Bridgeport; Shantell (Kane) Boots of Hyannis (NE) and son Kohen; Sierra Litke of Bridgeport and son Tracetyn Coward; Shane Goscha of Cambridge (NE); Natasha Hopwood of Amarillo (TX) and children Jacob Patten, Kingston Hopwood and Edwin Hopwood; Ashley Hopwood of Floydada (TX); Seth Turner of Sidney (NE); Trissa (Matt) Webb of Sidney (NE) and children Matthew, Vanessa, Colton and Gabby.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother Linda Hopwood, brother Dan Hopwood, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

At Lisa’s request, she has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date; her ashes will be placed in Mitchell, NE, with other family members.
