Jennifer Alyne Amateis, 7 1

Jennifer Alyne Amateis, a loving mother, a remarkable woman, a daughter of God, passed away at the age of 71 on March 8, 2026.

“Jen” was born in Bridgeport, Nebraska, and was the third child born to Albert and Lucille Amateis on April 8, 1954, after her twin brother John. She enjoyed growing up on the family’s farm in Nebraska and being surrounded by extended family.

She attended the National American University in Rapid City, South Dakota. Instead of pursuing a business career she chose instead to take on the hardest job of all and became a stay-at-home mom to six crazy kids. Even with all the demands that being a stay-athome mom put on her, she found time to still have some hobbies. As her kids got older, they knew where they could find mom after school: sitting in her “stamp” room. She enjoyed doing calligraphy and wrote it beautifully. She would spend hours making cards with rubber stamps, embellishments and whatever else she could think of. She gave these cards to everyone and people would always compliment how gorgeous they were. If she wasn’t found in the “stamp” room, she was probably out walking all around the town of Greeley. She loved to walk and would walk for miles.

She raised her kids to believe in a loving, kind Father in Heaven and in Jesus Christ. She also had the opportunity to share that testimony and love to the youth in her local congregation where she taught early morning seminary and Sunday school.

She is survived by her 6 kids: Sara (Josh) Darsky-Bartella, Joshua (Ryan) Cox, Jill (Rusty) Jenkins, Ryan (Martha) Cox,Tessa (Barrett) Palombo, and Randy (Emily) Cox; 23 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Michael Amaetis, and John (Connie) Amaetis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lucille Amateis.

We invite family and friends to join us as we gather to remember our amazing mother and to share time and memories with one another.

The funeral service was held on March 21, 2026; she was laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery inWindsor, Colorado.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the kindness, prayers, love and support during this difficult time.
