Russell David Fillis passed away July 8, 2026, at the age of 64. Cremation has taken place; a graveside service will be held at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Bridgeport Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Russell was born to Jim and Betty Fillis on January 18, 1962. He attended and graduated from school in Bridgeport, NE. He bacame a butcher and later a professional semi-truck driver, hauling bulk fuels.
Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and sport cars. Above all he enjoyed his dog and going to the lake.
He was preceded in death by his father; survivors include his brothers Doug (Mitzi Teten) Fillis and Dan (Tana) Fillis, and his mother. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
