Thomas M. Moreno, 48, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, died peacefully in his home on January 1, 2023.

There will be a private viewing for the family with cremation to follow.Thomas will be interred in the Bayard cemetery later this summer. Thomas was born to the late Tommy Moreno November 9, 1974, and received his education from Bayard and Bridgeport school systems. Even though he did not graduate, he worked really hard to earn his GED and was very proud of that accomplishment.

He married Jessica Taylor on October 19, 2013, and they made their home in the Scotts Bluff County area until they parted ways in 2018, remaining close friends “til the end.”

Thomas was also very faithful to his Catholic religion, always saying prayers and sending blessings to all.

Thomas is survived by Jess Taylor and her children, Gabriel and Zanessa, who he took great pride in helping to raise; brother, John (Steffanie) Moreno; nephews, Demrick and Jonathon; and nieces, Lisa and Joslyn.Thomas also had a very special cousin, MichaelVergil; they were more like brothers than extended family. He is also survived by many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of close friends.

Thomas had a love for gardening like his grandfather, Tom. He also was a huge fan of the Nebraska Huskers and the Las Vegas Raiders.What he loved the most, though, was his family and numerous friends. Down to have a good time with all comers, he never knew a stranger.

Thomas is no longer in pain and can be with his mother and grandparents who he missed so much.

Thomas is preceded in death by his mother ,Tommy; aunt, Rita Vergil; and grandparents, Tom and Mary Moreno.
