Peggy M. Covalt, 90, of Broadwater, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at her home after a long battle with cancer and diabetes. Her Celebration of Life service will be held at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater at a later date.

Melvin Eugene Laeger, 96, of Bayard, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Skyview Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgeport. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 13, at Cornerstone Fellowship in Bayard with Pastor Larry Russel officiating. Burial followed at Bayard Cemetery with the rendering of Military Funeral Honors. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designations. Lyle Roy Bell, 74, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Morrill County Community Hospital. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Bridgeport Church of Christ, with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport. Viewing will be on Thursday from 3-6 p.m. at Bridgman Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
