Marlene (Bigelow) Hanway, 86

Marlene was born on June 28, 1936, at home in Northport, Nebraska, to J. C. and Kathryn Bigelow. She was 86 years young when she passed away on November 29, 2022, at the Morrill County Community Hospital. She graduated high school in Bridgeport in 1954. She married Howard D. Hanway of Broadwater, NE, on March 4, 1956.They lived in Sidney, Scottsbluff, and Hastings, NE, and Phillipsburg, KS. Howard worked for KN Energy for 40 years. Marlene worked as a bookkeeper over the years. Marlene and Howard retired in 1992 and moved to Loveland, CO.

Irene (Leinweber) Buskirk

Irene (Leinweber) Buskirk passed away on December 3, 2022, at the age of 84. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Bayard, Nebraska. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec, 8, 2022, at the Bayard Church of Christ with Pastor Bill Ferrero officiating. Interment will follow at Bayard Cemetery.Viewing will be held 1 hour before service time at the church. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Irene’s honor be made in care of the Sgt. Colton Levi Derr Foundation. Shirley Ann (Daniels) Pitcher passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior on November 21, 2022, after a brave battle with cancer. Shirley was born on October 29, 1946, in Ainsworth, NE, to Noral and E. Shirley (Wrage) Daniels.

Bobby Joe Goeman, 64

Bobby Joe Goeman departed this life on October 30, 2022, at the age of 64. He was born December 18, 1957, in Bridgeport, Nebraska, to Donald and Jean Goeman. He attended school and graduated in 1976 from Bridgeport High School. He met his wife Tracy in Fort Collins, Colorado, and they were married in 1976. Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing pool and hunting for arrowheads. He was especially fond of spending time on the ranch and recently created a beautiful pond named Chelsi’s Pond, stocked with fish for his grandchildren to enjoy. Along with traveling and planning his next adventure, Bobby’s life was his wonderful family, spending time with his beloved grandsons.
