There will be a Celebration of Life service for Chester Alan Jacobs at 4 p.m. on July 18, 2020, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2220 Broadway, Scottsbluff. “Chet” passed away at age 70 on Friday, April 3, 2020, at home after along battle with a glioblastoma (brain cancer).
Joshua Eldon Brown, 21, of Bridgeport, Nebraska tragically passed away early in the morning of July 3, 2020.
Grace F. Mues, 79, of Bridgeport, NE, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020, peacefully at her home from natural causes and surrounded by her family. Her funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020, in Bridgeport at the Fire Hall. Casual attire is asked to be worn during the service as Grace believed in all being comfortable. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be private.
Gordon Cape, 69, a resident of Bridgeport, Nebraska, departed this life May 20, 2020. Cremation has taken place, and a private, family service will be held at a later date.
John Louis Panas, 90, of Scottsbluff, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Regional West Medical Center. His funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Bayard with Father Christopher Xanthos officiating. Burial followed at the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery at Bridgeport with military honors by the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard and the Bridgeport Sons of the American Legion.
