A barn burner of a game
The Goodland, Kansas Cowboys hosted the Bridgeport Bulldogs Friday afternoon, September 11, at their field in the Sunflower State.
After a scoreless first quarter, it was Goodland with the first touchdown and extra point on the board. On a first and five, Defensive Tackle Mason Nichols grabbed the ball and ran the inside into the endzone on 5-yard Touchdown run, but the extra point was no good. Still in the second, the score now 6-13 Cowboys, Braeden Stull at Quarterback threw a long one to Wide Receiver Braxten Swires for a 70-yard Touchdown pass. Again, the extra point was no good and the score was now 12- 13, with the Bulldogs down by one going into the break.
