Bulldog boys, girls drop to 7-2 following losses to Ogallala

Indians took home a 70-63 and 55-19 win Thursday

Fast starts powered the Ogallala boys and girls basketball teams to wins over Bridgeport on Thursday night at Bridgeport High School.

The Ogallala boys took the lead over the Bulldogs 70-63, and in the girls’ contest, Ogallala stopped Bridgeport defensively to score a 55-19 win.

The Ogallala boys improved to 10-0 with the victory, and the girls are now 8-2; both Bridgeport squads, however, dropped to 7-2.

Ogallala controlled the first half in the boys’ contest, but Bridgeport started to find its offensive rhythm in the second to make things interesting late. At the half, Ogallala led 38-25, thanks to four first-half 3-pointers.

The Indians kept the pressure on in the third, stretching the lead to 20 heading into the final frame.
