Bulldogs end season strong
The Lady Bulldogs put the stomp on the Lady Mustangs last Tuesday in the final home game of the regular season. Bridgeport was down by one heading into the second period, but got their groove and never looked back, racking up a final score of 75-44. Ruthie Loomis-Goltl was dancing down the court, dropping in 20 for the team, followed closely by Mackenzie Liakos with 17, Sydney Nein with 15 and Olivia Loomis-Gold with 12. Sydney and Mackenzie each had four treys. Ruthie grabbed seven rebounds, and Olivia, six.
The Bulldogs had a harder time getting an edge on the Mustangs, with the score even after one and Gordon Rushville ahead at the half. But the Bulldogs did what they do best and wore the Mustangs down before pounding the net in the second half. Luis Garza sank for 22 points, Jake Wallesen had 13 and Brady Newkirk, for twelve. Luis grabbed seven rebounds and Jake went two for two on free throws. The final score was 64-56 Bulldogs.
