Bulldogs fall short to Plainsmen in home opener

Playing in front of the home fans for the first time this season, the Bridgeport High School football team was edged 20–14 by Perkins County last Friday night. A pair of touchdown runs in the fourth quarter helped rally the Plainsmen past the Bulldogs. It marked a season-opening win for Perkins County, while Bridgeport fell to 0-2. Last season the Bulldogs also started 0-2 before reeling off six straight wins to qualify for the state playoffs.
