Bridgeport elementary students held their spring concert on Tuesday night, April 25, in the school auditorium before a large crowd. Each of the six classes stood up to sing three songs they had learned throughout the year, with the usual favorites showing up as part of the mix: kindergartners sang “What is in My Lunch Box?” first graders “Ants Go Marching,” and the second-grade stunner, “The Cat Came Back.”

It was an Arabian night to remember for Aladdin, (Isaac Dean), in Bridgeport last weekend trying to find a date to the prom, when he stumbled into a cave of (not so great) wonders and found a magic lamp. The genie that came to his rescue offered him three wishes, which he used to meet Princess Dory (Emily Hunter). With the Mysterious One, (Alexis Colton), trying to steal the lamp from Aladdin, and the story changing to the whims of the sisters Scheherazade (Mila Soto) and Dinazade (Elia Strawn), who has the book of answers, telling the story, it was an event to remember.
