The Bridgeport 6th graders celebrated their elementary school graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 11, in the auditorium with parents and teachers there to support the move up to the Junior High section of the school. Mr. Lambert spoke a few words, and after the certificates were awarded, all went to enjoy cake and punch in the gymnasium. Good luck in the years to come to the Class of 2027! COURTESY PHOTO

The Bridgeport Music Department held their Spring Concert on Tuesday evening, May 4th in the high school auditorium. The musicians put on quite an extensive show, including the Junior High Band playing Skygazer Fanfare, Alpha Squadron, and Defeating the Giant, followed by the High School Band playing, Shadow Dancer with lone senior band member Aleena Wagner soloing on flute, Bushido, and Hercules vs. The Hydra.

A Fine Arts Festival was held at the school in the old gymnasium on Tuesday, May 4, to showcase projects students have been working on all year long in their visual arts classes. Art teachers Debbie Millette and Pat Goltl displayed their students’ artwork, consisting of oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, pencil and colored pencil drawings, batiks, clay, and mixed media arts.
