The Bridgeport Bulldogs and the Leyton Warriors travelled to Mitchell on Saturday for the MAC/WTC wrestling tournament held there.
In the Minuteman Activities Conference (MAC) 2021, held at Bridgeport over the weekend, both the Leyton Warriors and Lady Warriors placed 3rd in the competition. Both teams won their first game, the girls over Minatare and the boys over Garden County, early in the week before making their way to the semifinals.
The #2 seeded Bridgeport Lady Bulldogs came out on top at the end of their three-game winning streak during the Southern Platte Valley Conference (SPVA) seven team competition on Saturday in North Platte by stomping the #4 seeded Hershey Lady Panthers 71-44. Down by eight at the end of the first, the Lady Bulls came back in the second to outscore the Lady Panthers 22- 13 for a one-point lead headed into the ten-minute break. After the half, it was all Lady Bulldogs for the rest of the game as they ran away with the lead and the first-place trophy.
