Lady runners place 2nd at WTC and SPVA

On Thursday, October 8, the Bridgeport Cross-Country teams took to the road for the SPVA conference competition at the Grant Golf Club. The varisty women’s division ran 28 girls while the men had 33 competitors. In the 5,000-meter race, the Lady Bulldogs placed 2nd overall with a team score of 27, ten points behind first place North Plattte St. Pats.

Footballers take home team to task

Friday night, October 2, provided good football weather for the Bridgeport Bulldog’s first game back on the field since the loss of their teammate, senior Joshua Warren, in a car accident after their homecoming loss the weekend before. Bridgeport travelled to Gordon-Rushville to take on the Mustangs in front of a large visiting crowd. The Bulldogs came in with a 4-1 record and the Mustangs were 2-3, coming off two big wins.
