Hometown Heroes game a real hit

Last Tuesday night, July 28th, the place to be was Dalton’s baseball field for the first ever locally-played Hometown Heroes game. Leyton’s Little League took on the men and women of the Cheyenne and Morrill County Sheriffs’ offices, and the Dalton and Gurley Volunteer Fire Departments. With a beautiful night for a ball game and a large crowd in attendance to cheer on the little tykes, Hannah Geller’s coach pitch team took on the adults with grit and determination, plenty of dirt, and wide-ranging smiles.

School supplies needed

It was brought to our attention that there is a need in the community for school supplies for Junior and Senior High school students. In an attempt to meet this need, Gloryland Bridgeport is asking for s donations of school supplies.

Bombers 5-1 last week

Bombers 5-1 last week

The Bridgeport Bombers baseball teams went 5-1 last week with wins over Alliance, Sheridan County and Westco (Scottsbluff HS). The only loss on the week was to the Alliance Spartans Seniors team at their home field. The Spartans Seniors were the defending runner up at the State Class B tournament from 2019. The Bombers season record is now 11-16, with two games remaining.

Bombers take on Sidney

The Bridgeport Bombers took to the field in their first home game of the season Wednesday afternoon, June 24th, facing off against Sidney. The weather was perfect, and the spectators were most ready to enjoy the double header.
