She flies through the air with the greatest of ease

The Bridgeport Elementary Yellow House went on the Ultimate Field Trip Friday, December 20, 2019, to Urban Air Adventure Park outside of Denver, Colorado.

There, students and staff winners of the semester-long house challenge partook in a variety of activities for the day, including the adventure hub with a low ropes course, a sky ride coaster that lets you soar above the rest and crisscross the room to scout out all the other activities, and an indoor playground of challenging tubes. A virtual reality room lets you choose a giant snowball fight or a chance to bear arms to defeat galactic enemies.

Students built strong muscles climbing the walls, leaping along the extra-long trampolines, tramping across the warrior course on swinging rings, and battling valiantly over the foam pits. The spin zone bumper cars brought to life these future drivers as they showed off their skill and took out a little mock frustration during a downtown traffic jam. Heads were spinning as fast as the cars were.

Staff were not far behind the kids on these rides, trying out all the same activities with the same giant smiles. No one was immune to the laughter and joy brought by a semester of hard work and generous teachers who took the time and money to send the winners to the park, and to the administrators who made it all happen.
