Amanda Jo Thackston Luken, 26

Memorial services for Amanda Jo Thackston Luken of Norfolk, Nebraska, were held December 2, 2021, at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with Rev. Randy Rasmussen officiating. Amanda passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, as the result of a vehicle accident in rural Pierce, NE.

Amanda was born on May 2, 1995, in Norfolk to Jerry and Lori (Crable) Thackston. She graduated from Pierce High School in 2014, later attending Northeast Community College to obtain her nursing certificate. Her son, Alexander Lee Luken, was born on Dec. 28, 2020. He was the light of her life.

Survivors include her husband Daniel Luken; son Alexander Luken; parents Jerry (Sandy) Thackston of Pierce; grandparents Robert (Carol) Crable of Bayard, NE; siblings Christina Thackston of Norfolk, Matthew Crable of Tecumseh, NE, Elizabeth Thackston of Norfolk, Nicholas Trackston (Kara Allbaugh) of Columbus, NE, Lisa (Chris) Grabast of Baldwin City, KS, and Jonathan (Linda) Wilson of Livermore, CA; various aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as 9 nieces and nephews.

Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, Lori Crable, and grandparents Lester and Dorothy Derickson.
