Cheryl (Chikos) Dinnel, 70, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away at her home on Monday, June 26, 2023.

Her memorial graveside service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport, with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Casual attire. A lunch will follow at the Prairie Winds Community Center in Bridgeport. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the Panhandle Humane Society. Cheryl was born on February 13, 1953, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Pete J. and Marjorie A.

(Pike) Chikos. She graduated from Bridgeport High School.

She married Ronald R.

Dinnel on October of 1980 in Torrington,Wyoming, and made their home in Scottsbluff. Later they divorced. Cheryl worked for the State of Nebraska Road Department for 30 years, retiring in 2018.

Survivors include her daughter Sarah (Chris) Banghart, granddaughter Thalia; sisters Chris (Dave) Lancaster and Lorri (Steve) Streeks; nephew Nathan Lancaster, niece Lorrel Lancaster, nephews Scott (Wendy) Streeks, Brad Streeks, and niece Christie (Jay) Gustafson.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Marjorie Chikos, brother Brad Chikos, and grandparents, George and Gladys Pike and John and Irene Chikos.
