James Allen Marker, 73

Funeral services for James Allen Marker, age 73, of Melbeta, Nebraska, who died January 26, 2022 at his home, will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Chad Rademacher officiating. James was born on July 7, 1948, at Scottsbluff, NE, to Raymond and Vera (Howard) Marker. He received his early education at McGrew, graduat ed from Minatare High School, and attended Scottsbluff Jr. College and Chadron State College, graduating with a Bachelor Degree. He married Janice Miller on June 20, 1970, at Bayard, NE, and the couple made their home in the Melbeta community for about 25 years.

Survivors include wife Jan, son Ty (Kerry) Marker of Gering, NE, and daughter Heidi (Joel) Ahrens of Sidney, NE; grandchildren Ethan Marker, Liz Marker, Eli Ahrens, and Chloe Ahrens; sister Linda Sinks of Bridgeport, and numerous nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his father Ray, mother Vera (Howard) Marker, motherand father-in-law George H. and Marie (Meter) Miller, and brother-in-law Dave Sinks.
