Marvin C. Nussbaum, 87

Marvin C. Nussbaum, age 87, of Broadwater, Nebraska, passed away peacefully Friday, November 17, 2023, at Morrill County Community Hospital in Bridgeport.

Marvin was born on August 21, 1936, in Amarillo,Texas, to Martin and Christina (Nath) Nussbaum. He graduated from Price College in 1954 in Amarillo, Texas.

He was united in marriage to Sue Osburn on November 19, 1955, in Hereford,Texas.

He farmed in Hereford, then moved to Tulia,Texas, to farm.

In 1965, he moved to Broadwater, Nebraska, where he owned and operated A to Z Farm Supply for 30 years. Later he helped local farmers.

Marvin enjoyed flying, softball, bowling, and playing bridge. He treasured his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He was a past member of Broadwater Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the Village of Broadwater Board.

Marvin is survived by his children: Kirk (Rosemary) Nussbaum of Ogallala, Karla (Dan) Eddie of Ogallala and Kay (Phil) Anderson of Broadwater; nine grandchildren and 14 (and one on the way) great-grandchildren; brothers- in-law Larry Wilhelm of Wichita Falls,TX, and Wendel Osburn of Amarillo,TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sue, son Keith Nussbaum, siblings: Irene Nussbaum, Joesph Nussbaum, Lorene Darr, Arnold Nussbaum, Leonard Nussbaum, Bernice Lundquist and Lucille Wilhelm.

His funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at All Soul’s Catholic Church in Bridgeport; a graveside service was held that afternoon at Rosehill Cemetery in Broadwater.
