Ronald R. Smith, 81

Ronald R. Smith, went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2020. He was born July 18, 1939, in Bridgeport, Nebraska, to Fred and June (Hart) Smith.

He married Rita Nuss in 1950, and they were blessed with a son, Randall Kirk.

Ronald joined the U.S. Air Force in 1958, and proudly served his country for four years.

In 1970, he received a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from New Mexico State University. He then joined the bank staff as an auditor for Farm Bureau Credit in Wichita, Kansas.

He and his family moved back to Nebraska to help with the family farm after his dad passed away. He farmed and ranched until 1988.

He moved to Denver, CO, and worked fro Primarica Insurance for several years, and as an auditor for the Courtyard Marriott Hotel until he retired.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Shirley Mae Smith, Eva Schuler, Louise Waldow; and nephew Rodney Plomp.

He is survived by his son Randall, sister Sharon Plomp, and nine nieces.

Ron will always be remembered for his sense of humor, the twinkle in his eye and for his faith and love for Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savoir.
