There’s no place like home
The 2018 Morrill County Fair has come to an end, and I hope that each and every person who contributed to the effort takes a deep breath and a some time to relax because county fair is exhausting—for kids and adults, alike! As a 4-H alum, I associate the county fair with a slew of emotions ranging from excitement to nerves and everything in-between—but mostly the feeling of relief that comes when the chaos comes to an end. The fair has been a staple of my summer ever since I can remember, save the past couple years, but it was interesting to come back this year and cover the fair in a professional capacity. This year, I watched the fair through the lens of my camera, and the moments I captured were priceless.
As I looked through my camera roll I found hundreds of smiles, many faces scrunched up in frustration and even a couple tears. I spent hours sorting through and editing the pictures and the whole time I was thinking how lucky I am that I am able to make a career out of documenting moments like these
