Newly formed Tree Board gets right to work
The City of Bridgeport Tree Board is off to a good start this fall, with plans of getting Bridgeport back on the map with Tree City, USA. The board discussed the current tree ordinances and how they might be improved upon, the inventory of trees in the city, and trainings that are available to attend. The board would also like to have an organized Arbor Day celebration sometime in the future.
Dozens of enthusiasts attend CCR Fall Rendezvous
The Camp Clarke Raiders held their Fall Rendezvous over the Labor Day Weekend at Seybolt Park south of Courthouse and Jail Rock. Despite the intense heat, the atmosphere was uplifting and the people, jovial, with folks coming in from all over Nebraska, as well as several from the border states.

Pohl works as Nebraska Extension intern
Five student interns who spent the summer of 2020 working in Nebraska Extension offices have returned to class in college and high school, following a summer in which they get a taste of careers in Extension serving local clientele at county-based offices.
