You don’t have to sleep in a tent in the woods to enjoy a campfire cookout. Just gather everyone in the backyard with plenty of blankets to sit on, a telescope to watch the falling stars and a table filled with tasty “outdoor” foods. This main dish just might be the “star” of the menu!
The Bridgeport Museum had an out-of-state guest on Thursday who arrived by unlikely means, a bicycle. Wyoming resident Rebecca Reagan rode her bike from Cheyenne that morning, arriving at the Caboose about noon before resting and grabbing lunch with family in town and heading back in the more conventional form of travel, her boyfriend’s pickup. The first golf meet of the season was held at Bayard on Thursday, August 26, with 11 teams participating in the combined Western Trails Conference (WTC) competition and Bayard Meet. Bulldog’s Lorien Demasters placed 7th overall for WTC with her score of 111, while the team placed 2nd. Demasters was also 8th in the Bayard invite, while the team placed 3rd overall. For Bridgeport, Trinity Flores followed with a score of 148, Cassie Hopwood had 169, Brooklyn Bates, 151, and Mara Soto scored 174. The team took to Kimball yesterday and will be at Creek Valley tomorrow. Those scores will be published next week.
