The Leyton Lady Warriors took on The Potter-Dix Coyotes on Thursday at Minatare in their first conference matchup of the season, winning both sets 25-19 and 25-15, while the final score for the Warriors/Indians game has not been posted. Home field advantage didn’t quite work out in the Bulldogs favor during their game opener Friday night when they took on the Sidney Red Raiders and lost 36-6, but there’s plenty of football left for a come back.
In the first matchup of the season, the Lady Bulldogs were guests of honor in the Tiger’s Den at Bayard. The Lady Tigers pounced on Bridgeport in the first set, striking them down 25-16 before the Lady Bulls took the next three sets in the non -conference contest 25-20, 25-21, and 25-21.
The Bridgeport FFA will hold their fall blood drive on Wednesday, September 1, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
