Banner County hosted the Leyton Lady Warriors on September 9 in a triangular that had everyone on their toes. In the matchup between the two teams, the Lady Warriors came out on top, winning both sets 25-8, and 25-10.
The Bridgeport Bulldogs and Leyton Warriors and their Ladies all competed in the Gering Invite Cross Country meet held on Friday, September 3, at the Five Rocks Amphitheater, along with eight other teams.
The Lady Bulldog golfers took to Scenic Knolls Golf Course in Mitchell on Thursday, September 9, and placed 6th with 501 points. Top scorers for Bridgeport were Lorien DeMasters with 105 strokes, Brooklyn Bates with 141, Trinity Flores with 124, Jordan Wagner with 131, and Mara Soto with 151. They were at Gering yesterday and those results will be published next week.
The Bridgeport Bulldogs took to the gridiron Friday night at home in a well-played game that ended with the Purple and Gold on the short end of the stick once again, falling to Holyoke 27-20.
The Lady Bulldog golfers travelled last week to Kimball on Tuesday and Creek Valley on Thursday to participate in their invites. At Kimball, five teams took part with Bridgeport landing in 4th place with 522 strokes behind 1st place Mitchell with 432, Perkins County with 430, and Gordon Rushville who had 500. Top scored for Bridgeport was Lorien DeMasters with 117.
