The Leyton Warriors finished their football season on Friday night in their final game against Osceola in the Class D2 Tournament towards the football championships. The Bulldogs were too much for the Warriors to contain in the second round, and the score ended 54-28 in favor of the eastern boys.
The Bridgeport Junior High Quiz Bowlers travelled to Kimball on Friday, October 15, to take first place in both the 7th and 8th grade three game match up. The younger team played against Garden County and Kimball, who scored 185 and 240, respectively; Bridgeport had 340 total. The 8th graders also quizzed against GC and Kimball, who tied at 3rd place with 215 points apiece. Banner County placed 2nd with 255 points, and Bridgeport had the top score of 320 points. Congratulations to both winning teams.
The west was well represented at State Cross County held in Kearney on Friday last week, with fifty-three schools running in the men’s division and fifty-six schools in the women’s class D final and most coveted competition.
In a redemption game for all ages, the Bridgeport Lady Bulldogs trounced the competition on Monday night on home court for a C2-11 Sub District volley ball win, and their spot at the district game this Saturday.
